before the run
I'll post here a video showing a wee bit of the tipe of run i'm mostly doing. If you've never run, or you don't know how to start, or you're losing kilos but still having over weight, watch the video, this is how I've started and it is miraculous! Can be of help for you as well...
the easy run. low and slow
Well, dear friends, today I've learned a lesson. A lesson sacrifing a bit of my health, but I'm ok, could be worse. See the photo below and i'll explain what happenned and what I've learnt and I want to share this lesson with you.
These are my hands, and the wounds are absolutely fresh.
So, my friends, as you can see in the photos, I have quite artistic scratches on my wrists. Today, I'm on my #day11 of #runchallenge. I've accomplished a month, and I felt I was ready to make more complex stretching exercises. Phisically I am prepared, but because that was the first time, and at some point i was less focussed, I've lost my balance and I've fallen. Thanks God, my husband was approaching at that moment, and he succeeded to catch my body, and like this my head did not hurt, but it was about to. Now, I have these scratches and they are a bit sore, and some bruses at my right side of the hip and that is it.
So, guys, the lesson is, when starting new level of exercises, even if you feel quite confident to make them, it is better and very necessary to ask for someone to assist you.
Let's suppose, you've hurt yourself during the exercises, if it was not too strong and you feel you're ok, don't remain in place, because your body is losing the heat and you'll get worse if you stay on a place, try to keep walking, first very very slowly and then you'll feel more confident and you can continue to walk faster, to reheat your body...
Of course, if you've been hurt worse, you definitely need to stay in place and to call for help. In the area where I am running there are plenty of people running, walking their dogs etc. ask for help. This is a point to take into consideration when being at the beginning of your run, choose a place where there are more people, don't isolate yourself.
In conclusion, i'll keep up doing those exercises, even if I felt a kid of fear when I fell, but now I feel I am even stronger and i'll keep going with. The only thing is that my husband will assist me at exactly those exercises. For a month or so, until I'll get very confident with.
This is, my friends, what I wanted to share with you. Take care of yourselves and keep up challenging yourselves! <3
